10:30 a.m. — “Wilderness
Winter” — Ellen Dionna & Arthur Hover.
Ellen
Dionna and Arthur Hover spent 13 years living in wilderness Vermont —
more than two miles snowshoeing cross-country to the nearest neighbor,
in mountain woods where encounters with moose and bear, and even a
cougar were part of ordinary life. That life required essential
practicality for survival and illumined and expanded our
spirituality. Witness became a spiritual practice and intimacy
with the land our spiritual crucible. With traditional film
slides and memoir, Ellen and Arthur create worship.
Following
the worship service we invite the congregation to see more slides and
discuss our experiences — children welcome.
