What to Expect From UUCY..

You can expect to be highly welcomed into a caring community, without pre-jugment or artificial expectations.
You will have the opportunity and encouragment to explore your personal spiritual journey. There is no expectation to conform to any pre-defined set of beliefs. You can challenge your own beliefs, and through discussions with others, challenge those of others without reprisal.
There are various Adult RE 'courses' each year that can also help you in your search, help you challenge your beliefs and find your truth.

You will also have the opportunity to explore yourself, expand your capabilities, and maybe even find a new path through your involvement at UUCY. You can try different activities - those that maybe you thought about doing, but weren't sure if you could. You can try them here. Mistakes and 'failures' are opportunities for you to learn and grow!
You will be asked [and encouraged] to get involved at various times. However, the choice is always yours. You can get involved to the depth that you want or you can choose not get involved!!

What Does UUCY Expect from You..

UUCY expects you to be responsible for finding your own spiritual path. UUCY offers the 'environment' to facilitate your search, but you have to find it.

There is a lot of information on this web site about UUCY and it's activities. You will find that your best source of information and the best way to get the most benefit from UUCY is to get involved with a committee.
Joining a committee does not mean / imply a committment to a lot of work. YOu can join or even just attend some of the meetings to see what they are about and if it may interest you.
Participation, no matter how casual or how deep, will always provide greater insight and increase the satisfaction and growth you are seeking at UUCY!!
