We are delighted to announce that UUCY has been awarded a $40,000 Chalice Lighters grant that will partially fund the planned campus upgrade beginning this spring and summer. Many thanks to all of you who signed up to be Chalice Lighters last year, which gave us a better chance in the application process. We also express our deep gratitude to all those involved in writing the application, including Board members, the B&G and Finance Committees, and the Green Team. The success of the application demonstrates the value of working together in community to achieve shared goals. May we continue to show our faith in action by sustaining this mutual effort. I am writing to let you know that I have made the difficult decision to step down as chair of the UUCY Board. I have discussed my reasons for stepping down at length with Rev. Christin. I was so honored to be elected by all of you to serve on the board, first as vice chair last year, chair this year, and then as past chair. Over the last year and a half, I have been privileged to help with different projects, meet new people, and see the hard work all of you do to keep UUCY the vibrant religious community it is. The highlight of my tenure was facilitating the congregational meeting to call Rev. Christin as the settled minister for UUCY. I remain beyond thrilled that she has accepted the call. I know that UUCY will work with her in shared ministry moving forward. There are not enough ways to thank all of you for the time and talent you bring to UUCY; please know that my gratitude is constant. Again, it has been my pleasure to serve all of you. All My Best, Lisa Paulos The Board of UUCY is delighted to announce that on Sunday, November 16, 2025, with a majority of 99%, UUCY has voted to call Rev. Christin Green as our settled minister, and she has chosen us as her settled congregation. We hired her as a contract minister starting in August 2024 and she has proven herself to be solid and an excellent fit for us. We can look forward to a bright future with Rev. Christin as our minister.
