OPEN LETTER TO UUCY MEMBERS:
Open Board Position Needs To Be Filled

The position of Treasurer on the Board is open. Our current treasurer filled the position because she loves our UUCY community and wanted to support it. We thank her from the bottom of our hearts for stepping up and send her a million hugs for her dedication to her congregational community. However, she works more than full-time hours at her paid job and has determined she does not have the time to do both jobs. We at UUCY are dedicated to supporting each other and ensuring each other’s’ well-being.

Therefore, we are looking to fill the treasurer’s position on the board. If this position is not filled there will be a significant void in our leadership. This will not bode well for the strength of our congregation.

We need a member who has some monthly financial statement and budgetary knowledge to step up and fill this vital role. It takes 10-15 hours a week and a lot of the work can be done remotely on your own hours. Training is available. We have one member who has graciously offered to assist the treasurer in the more routine weekly duties that do not require the higher-level financial expertise.
