UUCY Covenant, Mission and Vision

The following Vision and Mission statements of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of York were approved and adopted at the Congregational Meeting held on September 24, 2023:

THE MISSION of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of York is to nurture a loving community, inspire lifelong spiritual and personal growth, and act for a better world.

The Vision of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of York: We are a thriving congregation of all ages, embracing each other, and partnering with those in our community who work toward justice, fairness, and equity.

Congregational Covenant

Affirming the UU Principles, and guided by love and mutual respect in our behavior toward each other, we covenant:

• To honor our values and our diversity as our community’s common strengths;
• To be responsible for our actions and our words;
• To speak and listen with our hearts and minds open;
• To give of ourselves and receive that which is given;
• To keep and honor personal boundaries;
• To respect privacy and confidentiality;
• To unite on the side of love for our earth, our community and ourselves.
