We offer various and flexible rooms, abundant natural lighting, multiple parking lots, nestled in our park-like setting, which features sculpture, a walking labyrinth, benches, mature trees, and a community garden. Our grounds themselves may be used for $300 for the first 3 hours. Outdoor chairs must be rented.

​Carriage House
Our Carriage House building dates from 1876, when the property, known as Springdale, included a mansion, formal gardens, and a swimming pool, owned by Grier Hersh.  The “stables” were converted to a residence in the mid-20th century, using materials saved from the demolition of the mansion.  The Carriage House was owned by York Hospital from 1977-1997, and was then purchased by UUCY.

​Sun Room
The Sun Room features loads of natural light, with seating and folding chairs and tables available. Sun Room rentals start at $150 for the first 3 hours.

Enter into the Carriage House suite, convenient for luncheons, parties, and meeting space. Our Dining Room offers formal seating for 8, and the small adjoining kitchen works well for reheating or serving coffee.

Martha Holmes Library
Comfortable seating options for small groups are the hallmark of this parlor-style space for casual group activities or meetings.

Rent the entire Carriage House Suite for $375 for the first 3 hours. This first floor suite is accessible, and includes 2 accessible restrooms.

Emerson Room
This classroom features comfortable seating for up to 8.

​Sanctuary
Follow the brick path from the Carriage House building to the newer Sanctuary building, which offers access by elevator.

Our cheery classrooms provide working and meeting areas for smaller groups of 15 or less. Classroom rentals start at $90 for the first 3 hours. The largest, our Susan B. Anthony room, features large meeting tables.

Our two lobby areas are welcome gathering areas with seating for 12. Rentals start at $150 for the first 3 hours, and $50 an hour thereafter.

Upstairs, our Sanctuary room has bountiful natural light and space, and offers a space for up to 200. This is a place for worship, ceremonies, workshops, concerts, meetings, and other events. With approval, the piano can be made available. Rentals start at $450 for the first 3 hours, and $150 per hour thereafter. A commercial kitchen is also available for coffee brewing or reheating of food, for an additional rental fee.

Weddings
Thank you for considering us for your wedding.  We welcome church members and non-members of diverse faith-backgrounds from all over the world to be married here by our minister.  We are a Welcoming Congregation. Our minister is happy to perform weddings for same-sex couples. ​

As we are an active faith community, only our minister officiates at ceremonies on our property. She is sometimes available for off-site ceremonies in York County as well (check with her for mileage charge). Each ceremony is custom-designed based on interviews and conversations with you. Spaces are available for limited rehearsal dinners and receptions, but our facilities are most appropriate for standing “cocktail” receptions. Our spacious grounds can accommodate larger gatherings, although couples might wish to contact rental companies as we don’t provide chairs or tents for outdoor events.

Wedding Fees - Facility Rentals

• Ceremony/Reception Space Fees - Availability varies, but events cannot continue past 10 pm on Saturdays. See our available spaces, as well as our alcohol policy and liability insurance requirements on our Buildings and Grounds Rentals page, here. (under construction)
• Sanctuary Weddings - $450, and $150 each additional hour over 3 hours. Permission must be secured in advance to have food and drink in this space.
• Carriage House Weddings - $375, and $125 each additional hour over 3 hours
• Grounds Weddings - $300, and $100 each additional hour over 3 hours
• Music - Our Director of Music will help you select traditional or non-traditional music. We have a magnificent Knabe grand piano in the sanctuary. Pianist fee for weddings is determined by our music director. Other instrumentalists or soloists can be added (with a fee determined by them) to enhance your service. If use of the piano is required, the cost is $50 per event.
• Please contact us for information on our ministers’ fees, which are separate from space use fees. Please note: congregational member’s ceremonial events are complimentary. Our minister does not turn away weddings for inability to pay for financial reasons. ​
