We know...but a UU congregation is just about as welcoming as you can get! :)
We welcome you to join us Sunday at 10:00 am to see what our worship is like. We promise...there's no pressure.
#TLDR:
Come as you are, talk to whomever you are comfortable, be a fly on the wall, drink our coffee or not.
…but please, come.
What to wear:
Wear whatever your comfortable with. If you like to dress up in your Sunday best, that's cool. If you want to roll up in shorts and jeans, that's cool, too. Going to the gym after. No prob, sweats and sneakers it is! No need to dress to impress.
Arriving:
When you enter, most likely you'll be greeted by a volunteer usher, offering you a name tag. It’s fine if you want to slip by quietly to find a seat, we've been there...or you can chat with the greeters and ushers. They are friendly and would love to chat, but...guess what? No pressure! :D
Visiting with children:
Children are welcome to stay with you for service. If they are in Kindergarten or older, they can go with the other children to RE that week; if they are younger than Kindergarten, nursery care will be available.
Introductions:
Some congregations invite visitors to stand and introduce themselves so that people in the congregation will know to say hello, we don't! Don't worry, we're not going to have you stand and everyone stare at you. You're here to check us out, not the other way around. We get it.
Social Hour:
Following the service, there is a "coffee hour" where members and visitors can get to know one another. You are welcome to stay. You don't have to drink our coffee...and if you do, you don't have to stay for an hour. Heck, you don't even have to talk to anyone. You can just drink our coffee and run! :)
