Share the Plate Partnerships
What is Share the Plate?
UUCY shares half of all our donation plates with a local community organization, what we call Share the Plate (STP). Our Share the Plate partners are identified through input from the Congregation and decided upon by the UUCY Social Justice Committee. We use the STP to honor our commitment to service to our local community through these generous donations to local partners.
Our Share the Plate Partner for the month of February is YWCA York. YWCA York is not just an organization…they are a mission-driven collective, ready to serve our community with open minds and hearts. YWCA York uses an intersectional approach and mindfulness techniques, with the goal to eliminate racism and empower women. This demands that they show up to advocate for the end of inequities and oppression that many groups and individuals experience in our community. YWCA York has been leading change since 1891, in the game to create change.
