Detective Derek Hartman gave us a 60-minute presentation on Verbal De-escalation and Active Shooters. This presentation includes some profanity and talk of murdering others. There are no graphic images. Please use your discretion when viewing.

Detective Hartman has been a member of the York County Quick Response Team for the last 15 years. He is an experienced Police Officer and a Skilled Crisis Negotiatons Commander with an extensive background in Mental Health Training. Experienced in Criminal Investigations, Public Speaking, Patrol tactics, and most recently Media Relations. Involved extensively in the Mental Health Field as a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) officer and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Peer.
